Nuclear Medicine & PET
Functional imaging that shows how the body is working — not just how it looks.
Nuclear medicine uses small amounts of radioactive tracer to reveal function: how cancer is responding to treatment, whether the heart muscle is getting enough blood, how the thyroid or gallbladder is working.
PET/CT combines metabolic and anatomic imaging in a single exam and plays a central role in modern cancer care — staging disease, guiding therapy, and detecting recurrence earlier than anatomy alone.
Common exams we interpret
- PET/CT for cancer staging and follow-up
- Bone scans
- Thyroid imaging and therapy
- Cardiac stress perfusion imaging
- HIDA (gallbladder) scans
