Doc Talk Feature

Dr. Wilkin, Director of Interventional Radiology at Premier Radiology, was recently featured on News channel 3's Doc Talk to discuss how Interventional Radiology helped saved one of his patients. Interventional Radiology provides therapeutic and diagnostic treatments utilizing state-of-the-art, minimally invasive techniques along with image guidance.

In 2009, a patient was in a car accident that left her with a broken leg, a badly fractured pelvis, and internal bleeding. Before they could do anything else, they needed to stop the internal bleeding. Dr. Wilkin preformed a procedure called arteriography with embolization in order to localize and stop the bleeding.
